no bake bars

These chocolate peanut butter no bake bars are filled with oats. They are chewy and fudgy and super satisfying.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks
  • 3 cups granulated sugar I use organic
  • 1/3 cup baking chocolate powder
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups crunchy peanut butter
  • 4 1/2 cups regular rolled oats not thick or steel cut

Instructions

  • Melt butter in pan on medium low heat
    Add sugar and chocolate once butter is melted
    Add milk and vanilla
    Stir and let sugar melt fully
  • Heat the mixture until a few bubble appear but it DOES NOT boil.
    Remove from heat
  • Add the peanut butter and stir till combined
  • Add the oats and stir
  • Pour into a 9x13 inch dish oiled and line with parchment paper
    Let the parchment hang over the long sides of the pan to make it easy to lift bars out when done setting
  • Let bars sit for 8-12 hours or overnight. Lift out of the pan using the parchment and place on cutting board. Cut to desired size. I usually get 16 out of a pan but you can go even smaller to serve more. Enjoy!

Notes

These will last on the counter in a jar or container for about a week.
If it is warm put them in the refrigerator 
They freeze well. Separate layers with parchment paper or freeze individually and then put in a bag or container.
